ADI is a membership organisation, and membership is a core element of ADI.
Members are entitled to vote at general meetings on various issues, such as changing ADI's Constitution, approving the annual financial statements, considering recommendations that come to a general meeting, approving relevant policies that are outside the Board's responsibility, voting in Board members, etc.
ADI encourages all Australian and PNG people interested in ADI and PNG/Pacific health to become Full Members (following approval of each application by the Board).

Volunteering with ADI
ADI's programs were first established by volunteer doctors in 2000 ago in Western Province. Since then, our volunteer doctors have been a cornerstone of ADI’s health and outreach programs. As our programs have evolved, so too has the role or the ADI volunteer doctor and allied health workers. The primary focus for the volunteers is to build the clinical capacity of rural health workers through case-based and group training.
ADI has placed approximately 80 volunteer doctors in PNG since 2000.
