Our Approach: the ADI Way
Working with our local government and non-government partners, ADI delivers health services in rural and remote regions of Papua New Guinea.

We currently work across four provinces – Western, New Ireland, West New Britain and Manus, with expansion into 4 other provinces planned for 2025.

The ADI Way of working has brought great respect from people of the communities we work within, and the partners with whom we collaborate.

The ADI Way of thinking begins by listening to and learning from local voices and lived experiences. We champion those living with disability and social exclusion. We hold fast to principles of equity, are highly sensitive to community values and culture, and ensure our environmental responsibility is upheld.

The ADI Way of working builds confidence that we do what we say, we do the right thing, and we hold true to stakeholder expectations, while operating at the highest level of accountability.
We are promise keepers.
This is the ADI Way.

What We Do

Improving women's health
ADI is dedicated to improving maternal health in Papua New Guinea, a nation where maternal mortality rates are among the highest globally, ranging from 215 to 900 per 100,000 live births.

Improving child health
At ADI, we believe that every child deserves a healthy start in life, no matter where they live.

Gender Equality, Disability & Social Inclusion
ADI recognises that gender rights and disability rights are necessary for a safe, healthy and prosperous society.

Gender based violence prevention
ADI is committed to ensure its staff and those that it serve, live a life, free from all forms of violence.
Services Delivery Partners
Strengthening health systems in Papua New Guinea requires multi-sectoral, collaborative partnerships. Our teams work in close partnership with Provincial Health Authorities, National Government and private sector to co-deliver programs that improve health and wellbeing for rural communities. This work would not be possible without generous financial partners, volunteer doctors and in-kind support.
